National Apprenticeship Week
National Apprenticeship Week February 3 – 9 .
In support of National Apprenticeship week on Tuesday, February 4th, we had presenters from Capgemini speaking to the students in year 9 at Harris Academy South Norwood.
Capgemini is a French multinational corporation that provides consulting, technology, professional, and outsourcing services. Students learnt about the skills they need for a successful career in the technology industry, and that can be acquired through apprenticeships. Students were thrilled at how they can build technical skills in software development and consulting, alongside broader business-related personal development. Based on the questions they posed to the presenters it showed how inspired they were, and how deeply they were engaged with thinking about their own careers. It was a good opportunity for the students to hear from former apprentices with their own stories and to learn how to become our next generation of apprentices!
