Uniform Information
At Harris South Norwood, students are expected to be of smart and sensible appearance.
Please note a coat is a black outdoor coat. No denim. No logos. Cardigans, jumpers, sweatshirts, tracksuit tops, waistcoats, and hooded tops are not to be worn as coats; a pullover/jumper is optional PE mid-layer is optional. No non-black belts or designer/decorative belts.
The requirement for adherence to the Academy Uniform is consistently reinforced by all staff, in and out of lessons. Pastoral Leaders ensure that, when students enter the Academy grounds, they are in proper uniform. Form tutors and Heads of Year also work with students and encourage/reward them for the standard of their uniform. Our high expectations are also reinforced at year group Assemblies by the Academy Leadership.
The guide below outlines our expectations in terms of uniform. Any students who break the uniform requirements will be sent home after contacting parents so they can correct their uniform.

It is very important that students have the correct equipment with them at all times. Successful learning will often be dependent upon this. If students forget to bring equipment they may be given a Detention.
